Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think all the new widgets and extras introduced to play music is the wrong approach- it slows down the site and doesn't really offer anything in return. Sites that automatically play flash and force sound at their visitors rarely engender gratitude.

It's not supposed to play automatically. I don't experience any slowing down with Chrome. What browser do you use?
